Have you had your eye exam?

Not a photograph by me. A photograph of me. The inside of my eyes, that is. Taken at my last eye examination. The diagnosis? Pressure building to the point where glaucoma could soon be a problem. With prescription eye drops, the pressure is now back to safe levels. The message–for everyone, but especially photographers–have regular eye exams so you can continue enjoying your passion for as long as possible.

There are, in fact, many people who enjoy photography even though they are partially sighted or blind. Google “blind photographer” and you will find all kinds of very interesting work. For example, these two: www.theblindphotographer.com  and http://blindphotographer.org. But if you have it, it’s best to keep it!
